How our textbooks grew from some ten pages to some hundred pages?
Are we maybe building a leviathan, perhaps again, in knowledge? Will it bite, or just harmless?
How people avoided, or at least tried to avoid, the leviathan of a state through democracy, having built one that they couldn't handle? Are we building new ones? Can we handle them this time?
Maybe this can be another way of looking at the macroeconomic problem of growth, and maybe the macroeconomic models can help answer some of the above questions.
